Apple’s iPhone is one of the many Smartphone’s that are currently on the market that has a built in camera. Almost every Smartphone out there these days has its own built in camera but now, Singapore carrier M1 is actually marketing a camera free iPhone device that is thought to have been created for use by military personnel and government officials.
Many of the people that work within these roles in Singapore are not allowed to use Smartphone’s that actually have a camera built in for security purposes. However, Singapore carrier M1 has been advertising a camera free iPhone on their website. Camera phones have been banned in Singapore for these personnel for a number of years now and carriers have to present certifications to the military to show that these cameras have actually been removed from the phones.
The pages that advertised the camera free iPhone were actually found on the Singapore carriers website last week but have since been removed. The device is however now being advertised officially by the network and also comes with a certificate to prove that there is no camera present.
One of the downsides to the phone however is that they are not under the Apple warranty which means that any purchases of the phone will be made at the consumers own risk. Anyone can purchase the camera free iPhones within the country if they want to.
